The Egger private brewery opens its doors: Brewery tours provide an insight into the craft of brewing

  • "Experience the private brewery Egger up close"
  • A look behind the scenes

The Egger private brewery from St. Pölten-Unterradlberg in Lower Austria stands for brewing competence from Lower Austria and invites consumers to get an idea of one of the most modern brewing facilities in Europe. Brewery tours have recently been possible for groups, small groups and individuals by prior arrangement.

Experience beer production up close

More than ever, consumers want to know where their products come from and how they are made. That is why we are happy to give you a look behind the scenes and show where and how the popular beers of the Egger private brewery are made,”says Bernhard Prosser, Managing Director for Sales and Marketing at Egger Getränke. It goes without saying that the history of the brewery - which goes back to the year 1675 - is an important point. “A lot of people don't even know that we are a private brewery, we want to change that,” Prosser continues. As part of the brewery tour, which lasts around two hours, the modern brewhouse, beer production and storage are visited under the expert guidance of Egger Bier employees. “Our guests experience beer production up close and can get a better picture of the Egger brand.” Because transparency is the new “currency”. After the tour, the newly acquired knowledge can also be tested in practice: the delicacies are served in the idyllic, in-house brewery bar. The private brewery Egger also has an offer for those who stayed at home: beers and beer accessories are sold in the Egger shop.
